Hi, everyone. We’re going to give folks some time to log on and we’ll get started in a few. While you wait, please feel free to play a game of rock, paper, scissors and let us know in the chat where you’re joining us from.

All right. Welcome, everyone, to Spress as an Experience Manager. Today our amazing group of presenters will be taking you through everything you need to know about one of AEM’s most powerful offerings at Edge Delivery Services. So we designed our webinars to be interactive, so we encourage you to ask questions in the question box throughout the presentation. Type them in there because we’ve designated the last 10 minutes or so for Q&A. I also want to mention a few of our leaving items before we get started. First of all, we’re presenting in ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Connect today and we are live, but don’t worry, this session is being recorded. It can be viewed on demand or shared with other members of your teams at a later time. You’ll get that recording in an email from us tomorrow afternoon. Also, throughout the presentation on the right side of your screen, you’ll also see a form where you can register for our AEM webinar going down next week. Very similar to this one, but we’ll be going over AEM form, so be sure to fill that out if you’d like the invite. And finally, as we’re closing out the webinar, we have a few survey questions that will be at the bottom of your screen. If you could just take a minute or so to answer those questions, we’d really appreciate it. And with that, I’d love to introduce myself. My name is Jeffy Maguano. I’ve been a digital engagement strategist at ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ for a little over two years now. I lead the production of our webinar series for all of our Experience Cloud products. And prior to my time at ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ, I spent two years working in advertising for several global agencies in New York. If you have any questions or comments about today’s event or about your experience in ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Connect now, please feel free to reach out. And with that, I’d like to hand it over to Casey to introduce themselves.

Thanks, Jeff. Hi, everyone. Casey Witter here. I’m an AEM business advisor. So I’ve been working with AEM for nearly seven years now. I started over with ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Consulting and implementation space and then transitioned over to the post implementation space about three years ago now. So I’ve been in the AEM realm and I’m a business advisor to all 400 plus AEM customers in our solution.org. I’ll pass it to Rajan.

Hi, everyone. My name is Rajan Kumar. I’m an AEM technical advisor at Robear. And I have been working on AEM more than 10 years and helping customers with the implementations and the solution. So currently I’m managing more than 100 customers for solution.

Thank you. Awesome. Thank you both. All right, everyone, let’s go ahead and jump right in.

Awesome. So welcome, everyone. Today we will be running through what Edge Delivery Service is, some of the challenges that we hear in today’s delivery climate, a high level overview of the future breakdowns of Edge Delivery Services and some key advantages of Edge. Then we’ll discuss authoring options and developer tools before getting into our demo and then covering some frequently asked questions. And then finally, we’ll wrap up with your Q&A.

Awesome. So what is Edge Delivery Services? The concept of Edge in the context of AEM Cloud Services refers to the use of a content delivery network or CDN as we’ll be calling it or an Edge computing to enhance the performance and efficiency of delivering digital experiences to your end users. So when we say Edge, just know that that’s referring to the performance and efficiency of delivering your content. Now let’s talk through the ways Edge is different from other CDNs. So the first thing you’ll see here is the proximity to users. So we place the servers closer to the end users when we’re working with Edge. This means that when someone requests content from a website or application, the data can be delivered from a nearby server rather than one located far away. So this ultimately reduces latency, which is the time it takes for data to travel from the server to the user resulting in faster load times. Speaking of reducing latency, that’s the next aspect of Edge. So again, by caching the content at the edge closer to where these end users are located, AEM can serve content more quickly. And this is because the data doesn’t have to travel as far, reducing the time it takes for a web page to load or for an application to respond.

The next point is load balancing. So these edge networks can distribute traffic more evenly across multiple servers. This load balancing ensures that there is no single server that becomes overwhelmed when there’s too many requests. And that obviously overwhelming this can slow down performance. So by spreading this load, Edge computing maintains a smoother and faster user experience. Next point we see here is scalability. So edge computing allows for better scalability. So as the number of users increases, the edge network can handle more requests without a drop in performance. This is particularly important for businesses experiencing rapid growth or sudden spikes in traffic, such as during a sale or a viral event. The next point is improved reliability. So by distributing the content across multiple edge locations, the system becomes more resilient to failures. So if one server happened to go down, other servers can take over ensuring that users can still receive that content without any interruption. Next is efficient caching. So edge networks can cache static content like images, style sheets, and scripts, which do not change frequently. I don’t know if any of you have gone through an AEM implementation, but I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase from your team to clear your cache. That might be the result of some of the issues that you have with the system. And so this efficient caching is really a game changer, and it means that these elements such as those style sheets, scripts, images, whatnot, are served quickly from the edge and reduce the load time on the origin server and speed up the delivery of content to the users. Finally, the last point here is the reduced bandwidth costs. So by serving this cache content from the edge, the amount of data that needs to be transferred from the origin server is reduced. And so this not only speeds up content delivery, but it also lowers the bandwidth of your service provider. So in summary, when we’re thinking about edge delivery, it’s really just using the AEM cloud service and edge to enhance performance by bringing content closer to the user, reducing that latency, improving the reliability, and enabling efficient load balancing and caching. And then of course, these improvements lead to faster and more reliable digital experiences for our end users. So edge was developed to speak to the common challenges that we hear from our customers. First, we hear that slow and generic experiences do not engage your customers. Obviously, I mean, I don’t know how many of us have maybe made it down the marketing funnel when we’re online shopping or something, and it’s really slow and buggy, and suddenly you’re disinterested anymore. That can’t be happening. Next, we hear that content authors cannot quickly create and update their experiences. And lastly, we hear that development cycles are long, and that limits your business agility. So like I said, edge was designed to speak to these challenges. We have an end to end framework to unlock the value with AEM cloud services and edge. So the first point that our challenges want to speak to is just making this high impact experiences. So with the site performance improved, the Lighthouse scores will always be at 100%. If you are on edge delivery services, your Lighthouse scores are guaranteed at 100. So this speed will lead to higher conversions, better traffic, and overall fast and optimized experiences.

Next, there’s extreme content velocity. Your teams will have access to the latest cloud native tools, and this authoring autonomy will accelerate your content creation. And we’ll get into those tools a little bit later in the presentation. And finally, edge delivery services enables development speed. It’s always going to be on the current version, and that will help you to scale your platform. And so your teams can rapidly build and deploy with the flexibility and simplicity of this modern web platform.

So there’s a lot going on in this chart, and I don’t want to spend too much time here, but if you can see how certain features and challenges were addressed with edge delivery versus how they were handled in the old way, you can kind of see how that’s broken down here. Again, there are many main differences in the hosting options, but mainly they have to do with content proximity, performance, scalability, ease of use, dynamic content support, reliability, redundancy, security, and cost efficiency. And so we also see integration with AEM features, maintenance, and analytics and reporting. So each of these features can kind of be mapped to challenges that our customers face, and you can see how edge delivery addresses them versus traditional or custom hosting options. And so we would say if your team is facing significant challenges in any of those areas or wanting to invest in any of those areas specifically, edge delivery might be the best route for you.

All right, so outside of just how the features work, what are the key advantages to using edge delivery services? So EDS is natively integrated into AEM as a cloud service, meaning that it works seamlessly without requiring extensive configuration or maintenance.

Next, EDS uses ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ CDN partners like Akamai to cache content across a global network of servers. Vision serves consistent performance for users worldwide. EDS also handles not only static assets like images, videos, etc., but also intelligently delivers dynamic content, ensuring fast responses for personalized or frequently updated experiences.

Unlike custom CDN integrations, edge is managed by ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ, so that frees up your internal teams from having to manage caching rules, updates, or troubleshooting CDN issues. And then of course, edge includes advanced security measures like HTTPS, WAF, and DDoS protection, which are essential for modern web applications. So I’m going to hand it over to Rajan to walk us through the architecture before we get into the demo, but also I believe we have a quick poll for you all before we transition. Yep, thanks Casey. All right everyone, I want to share a quick poll with you here. Let us know what version of AEM you’re currently working on.

Got it, a lot of cloud service, good to see.

A few cloud service and edge delivery services, love to see it.

Give everyone a second to respond.

Okay, very cool. Well, good news is you’re in the right place. I’ll pass it off to Rajan to get into the rest of the content as well.

Thanks, so now you got a fair idea about what is edge and how it is help you for the rapid development with the performance website, right? So just to have a look at a very high level of architectures, how it’s going to look like. So at the top, if you can see user hit the request to the web browser, request will be go to the CDN. So this CDN layer, you can have it your own CDN like Akamai, Fastly, or it does also provide you ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ-CDN if you are licensed for the cloud manager’s where you have options to configure ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ CDN. Then request will flow to the ADS service where the domain will have ending with the AEM.live and that request will pull the content from the your authoring mechanisms either it could be on universal editor or it could be on document-based authoring and then pull the code from the git repo and then merge content and code and then display your website content over the sites, right? So and coming to the authoring mechanisms like you could have you can choose either universal editor which is like a VgVic solutions like what you can just author as similar to the AEM platform and document-based authoring especially you can just author that content in words and also we’ll talk about in more details in the next basically so what exactly and when to use universal editor versus the document-based authoring. So all right so as I said right so ADS provide multiple authoring options either you can use document-based authoring or universal editor so document-based authoring is a method of creating and editing web page using family programs like Microsoft Word, Google Docs. It offers a user-friendly efficient and highly flexible approach to content creations and management. Document-based authoring is particularly beneficial for the organizations where it is required a rapid development cycle update or aim to involve non-technical users in the content creations process like mostly what we have seen with the traditional AEM development we need to train user how to use the tool basically with the document-based authoring you already are familiar with the what how Microsoft Word it works so you can easily pure content editor will be ready to delivering content from day one. Then on the other side, universal editor is an advanced and flexible content authoring approach which is designed to cater to both technical and non-technical users. As I said it offers a Vg week solution so what you see is what you get interface so that allows content creators to build and manage web content visually. So a user can edit content directly within the preview experience and then they can publish the content to the edge delivery and it also does provide a capability of integrations and extensibility by leveraging numerous extensions point such as blogs custom data types and event or for seamless integrations. So I will see how this document-based authors universal editor works separately like in a demo so I will showcase.

All right so just to understand right what are the extensive capability to get quickly get started like you must be thinking okay what edge delivery is now you understand how do you start from from where you start and what you need to know about that right before starting so to start with the edge delivery you are already familiar with the few of the standard tool like github js or plain css programming which is being used to develop the blocks and you will have a box a boilerplate code sample which you can just clone the repository and then you can spin up your project very quickly then when you are on with the eds projects working you have a collaborations with the product team via the slack channel you can get the input from the engineering how it can work better so it is very straightforward like you start with the development choose the authoring options and then for the understanding you can get the product collaborations as well so we’ll see how do we set up the project especially when you are starting with a document-based authoring right so again the decision of the choosing document-based authors versus universal-based is all depend upon the business driven and what works best for you so i’m going to just showcase for the both use case what are the project setup needed for the document base as well as the for the universal editor so basically for the document base you need to have a repository creations then you’re gonna install the code sync and then you will just update the your repo with the pointing to the your share point or the google drive and then you can just share the project or the content you share that all the content into the drive to the one of the email address and so i’m gonna just showcase all this thing in the demo so which will be more familiar how it works and then how it you can preview and then similarly like to set up a universal editor project also it is again same you have a valid code where you can just create a repository and then update few of the configurations and then you can start working so let’s quickly jump into the demo and then we’ll showcase all how it works so let me quickly go and share my screen all right i hope my screens are visual yep we can see it okay all right so yeah just to start with that right so as i said you need to clone from the yem boilerplate this is especially i’m talking about the document base so first i’m gonna cover on the document base then we’ll jump into the side editor so uh while you can just uh create a new repository so i have already created all the repository so if you can see you will have a structures like blocks where oh generally blocks is if you are coming from the traditional am like a what you see in the component that is what in uh in eds is the blocks basically so and then all the structures are there so first thing what you need to do so you will come to the fs tab yaml file and you’re gonna update your google drive if you are using google drive or if you are using microsoft uh sharepoint you update the drive here and then uh once you updated this ones your sites will be ready you can update the content over there so let me show the one of the sample website what i have created so this is the sites and this domain is from the hdeliver domain so where you can see like your site’s name what you have created into the repo and then is the organizations basically so then organize them so this is what the sites and uh where you can see the banners and then um so let me rephrase this one more time so you can see the banners and then you can we can see all the content and how do you edit this one so just to edit that right so what you are going to do you need to add sidekick and sidekick will help you to uh enable the edit capability so if you look at here like this is the sidekick so it comes in a chrome extensions basically and it has a capability of like a preview you can preview source and the live page now if you want to edit the same content right so you can just click on the content edit and it will navigate to the google drive where you have the content so you can simply add the image and then you can have the content over there and all the blocks whatever you have created right so it comes with the few of the order box like columns and also you can use that and it directly map the name of the blocks so once you are ready with the changes you can just click on the preview which will showcase how it is going to look and feel and you will notice the preview site will in with the domain so aem.page which defined like this is on the preview and once it looks good you can just click on the publish it will just publish to the edge delivery services and then site will be live so coming to the few more features i wanted to talk on especially on the sidekick so you can see there are additional library like things right like library aem assets generate variations so these all things can be customized so by default with the sidekick you will not see these all options so just to customize you need to make some additional code changes and for that you will just again go to the code and then you will add tool and then you we can configure the sidekick configurations and then you will have a config.json file so basically you can just configure for the asset features and libraries i’ll showcase what exactly assets capability and the library and if you want to see the page sites or generate variations right so so what is basically a library right so most of the time for few of them it is still challenging like how do i create a column how what are the components are available for the authoring right so this is the capability where it provides and you can just create one time basically for the all the authoring capability whatever the blocks you have created so you can just create for the all the authoring capability over here and for the author to just refer it so they know they understand what are the blocks are already available and for authoring they can easily just copy the content let’s say i’m going to add or according component according blocks somewhere into the docs right so what i need to do just copy this content and then put into the docs just paste it it will just create a column view with the name of the component and then you can edit it and once you edit it looks good you just preview it and then publish the page so it will be available then our second features i want to talk about assets capability like you can leverage your asset if you have been licensed for the aim asset side so you can keep all the asset at the center locations in the dam and if you want to use any of the assets right so let’s take any of the assets so you can just click on the copy and then yeah you can just i want to remove this image with the new one so you can just paste it then just click on the preview and looks good to me and then you can just quickly publish the page and you will see the okay the page has been published the site is live basically so it is kind of a very if you have asset you can easily integrate with the sg another thing in the assets are right i wanted to talk about the dynamic media dynamic middle area with the open api features so basically you can also configure the dynamic media open api where it just provides the capability of accessing the brand approved assets or it provides the governance or you can have a dynamic image renditions and that smart crop it also provides the rich media optimization so looking at the different so i’m talking about these all the features using the modifiers so again you will go to the my assets and all the asset which are approved from your systems right only those asset will be available inside the dynamic media so when you copy this ones so if you copy and you can just you you will see so you copy the image for the dynamic media which has been approved and then you will paste it over here looks like these all image are approved and so it will create a link basically and if you see over here so it will have a the url basically will be served from the delivery which is the dynamic media server not from the media bus from the ads and you can also change the parameters like a color balance and all the modifier so if you look at the website right so if you i go back to the sides so you can see that a same image you can dynamically change it like a same you color is being changed and then you can rotate image so with the dynamic media open api capability and using the modifier you can just use the image the way you want to use it so this is what it comes into the document based authoring and in case a lot of the use cases where you have to use the redirect capability also right so how it’s going to work the redirect features so for redirect also what you have to do you have to go to the sites you will go to the your google drive where you have you will create a redirect excel over there and you can see the redirect features is over there like a source so i’m just going to the business advisory and it will redirect to the technical advisory so let’s go to the so once you create a excels over there you need to just preview it and then just publish it to be get it available so once you make all the changes now if i go back to the sites right so let’s go back to the uh business advisory it will just take me to the if you can see the url right so it redirect me to the technical advisory so in case of you are looking redirect capability so you can just achieve it into the document base just creating a redirect excels and put source and the destinations all the capabilities over there so so this document base all things bring the flexibility with the less uh skills in the aim like you can easily manage the content over there and then uh just add the content now let’s quickly uh jump into the universal editor uh so universal leader uh or think capabilities also as similar uh little for the project creations process so what you are going to do you are going to create a repository from the boilerplate aim boilerplate x work crosswalks basically and a few of the changes you have to do like um in fs tab you have noticed you have provided the google drive path over here so here you are going to provide the aem author path with the ending with the URLs and you will just provide the org name and the project’s name this is the one thing you’re gonna just change it so let’s have a look into the how the project is going to look like so this is the one of the sample website i have created it on the universal editor so let’s look at the how the odd things behavior is going to work right so let’s edit this page before jumping into the authoring capability let me uh quickly jump to the site so this is going to be as similar what you have see the site so uh and just for your uh just to play around right there is a sample uh template also available you can just import template and you can have a sample content created so this is the look and feel of the sites which will open into the unitary so this is the city across walk basically and i’m just navigating to to the one of the page let’s open to the en home page so this will just open a website and you will see the authoring capability right over here so this is as it is similar you can see the tree hierarchy what are the uh sections we have like main sections crawls and uh you can change it uh and so just to change like let’s say you want to change the uh text right so you will just click on the property over there you can see the one of the image and then uh alt image and then the text so you can just change that some content over there and you will see okay so changes has been done once it is ready so you can just click on the pub publish it will be content will be published to the edge web so uh here the look and feel is mostly what you see what you have been seeing in the traditional say em like a component so if you want to add a new component also right so let’s see if i want to add a new component in this section so you will have options to add over here and it comes with the boilerplate it comes with the view of the default content like a text title image button so you can leverage that on top of that you can also customize a few of the blocks so you can see like a few of the blocks i have created so if you want to use any of them right so let’s see i i want to use the hero you will just add it select that a hero block you will go to the property and you can just uh add the image so image also it will take you to the your asset uh hierarchy and you can just choose any of the image select image then give the alt text and then um text then you just save it so uh the out think ability as you know what you have seen then you can see the content has been updated over here you can also preview so once you click on the preview button it will just preview it and looks good then you can just click on the publish so content will be published to the your hd library so uh looking at these all things right so like it’s pretty simple and now how do you add a new component like you must be curious about like okay uh these are the few basic samples are there right so how do i create a new block so creations of the new block is also a really straightforward so uh once you clone the code right so basically this is the same code base what i have it like a so uh cross cta crosswalk so few changes you have to do you will just uh come to the block sections and take the example of the any of the like hero uh one right so uh you will uh suppose this is a custom blocks you are going to create it so you will just create a file uh folder hero and then you will add a css file and the js file and then you will be modifying three files one of them is the component definitions where you define what is the behavior of the hero so you will define okay this is the block type and you will provide the id and which will map into the model and model will define you the what the behavior it is going to like it will have a reference it means image selectors and then you will have a text like a text alt text you features user then you want to add a some descriptions like a rich text that is what it is and uh just to display into the block list right so you need to ensure uh you just make the changes in into the component filter so which is uh you are going to add the uh blocks name into the component once it is ready you can just uh build commit your code it will just deploy the code and it is ready to use it so looking at this right so uh it’s mostly uh the authoring capability is just as similar what you have been seeing and it also uh provide you a few of the capabilities just let me uh showcase that as well so now how do you handle the redirects and all over here right so just for in that case like you can see the uh metadata or redirects page you can just create a page so uh if you click on the uh page create new page and you will see the options for the page placeholder so these spaces taxonomy metadata if any configurations you want to override it from redirect so you can create all these as similar rather than manage in document based you have seen you are managing these all things into the google docs and here you have options to create a page and then it will be available to you then uh next you must be thinking okay i have a website and how do i into the either uh document based authoring so one of the helix importer it comes available like basically and you can just clone it into your uh local also to run it so you can use the helix importer ui basically and you can run the code base and then it will just open the interface so let’s say i have a weekend website and i want to get all the content from here into the document right so how do we do that so either one options you can just copy the each content and then put into the document base the another alternative options somehow i get the content into the document and then copy paste into the our side so uh am importer will help you to uh import the content so let’s take the mac gene page so what you’re gonna do uh you just use url and then put the url over there importer options uh you can just customize it you can also customize the import dot json the way you want to import the content into the document or you want to import into the html or markdoll so you can customize it then click on the import and it will generally import it uh so now how it is going to look like it will just save into the your drive where you have saved it so you can see the magazine page is already created so you you will open it this page you will see okay so the all the content you got into the document now you have the document is ready and then you can just put into the drive basically another thing to to just touch base upon quickly uh if you have a hdlib service license in the cloud manager you will have a hdlib if it is not available you can just enable it from the going to the edit programs and then solution add-on then you will have options to hdlib then you can enable it and with that what you can do you can onboard your hdlib site and you have options to hdlib to-do list basically and you can also add the domain and then ssl certificate when you try to add the ssl certificate it also provide you the options for the adobe manage or you want to have your own certificate and then similarly you can configure uh cdn as well like you can just use the adobe manage cdn or if you are managing your own cdn so um yeah so to ask about it for the demo let me just quickly go back to the thank you rajan that was awesome uh all right everyone as promised i want to go over a few questions you’ve submitted here today jeff sorry we have some more content in the deck okay for sure uh should i go back to the slides yes please all right anything else you want to touch on rajan yeah so i already talked about hdlib in the cloud manager services where you can enable and then coming to the cdn configurations right i talk about like you can have adobe minus cdn which will point to the hdlib domain and then you can have a customer-managed adn so adobe minus cdn will have a capability only when you have a license with the em sites then you can leverage that otherwise you can directly use the customer-managed adn or you can just find the domain hdlib domain so yeah with that i’ll pass it to kc to talk about more faq questions yep so we wanted to cover some faqs before getting into your specific questions but one of the biggest questions we get from our customers is how and when to know if eds is right for their team so ensure in short we encourage you to work with your account manager and am teams to determine if this fits your roadmap but as a general rule we recommend all customers that are new to am to get started with eds any customers who are really emphasizing high speed use cases should really be on eds and then anyone seeking cdn management should consider this so that’s a great way to start your delivery network but of course there are times to consider other options this would be if your organization is not ready to move to cloud service some of the questions in the chat have to do with if eds is available for on-premise or managed service and at this time it is not it is only available in am as a cloud service so if you have strict compliance requirements that necessitate on-premise hosting or are not ready to upgrade that would be one option to consider other options in your cdn delivery network and then additionally if you already have a preferred cdn provider with custom configurations or need advanced features that might not be supported by eds such as like custom ip restrictions or security specific features to your business that would be another reason why you could consider another option i also saw a question in the chat about china specifically that’s a great example of you know because of their regulations you might want to consider using a custom cdn instead of eds another frequently asked question that we get all the time is what does it take to move to eds if you’re not currently on it so if you are not currently leveraging eds you should treat this effort as a small implementation and migration project and that’s also the same for moving to universal editor or document-based authoring so adobe always recommends engaging with a partner an implementation partner for this effort so we have listed here just some of the example activities that would go into a move to eds so first with the kickoff your teams would align and plan on the work that needs to be done next there will be a few weeks dedicated to discovery and solution design and the architecture that you will be moving towards your team will fully identify all the requirements and roadblocks some other questions i saw in the chat pod were kind of just like how does document-based authoring know what component library is there etc etc this is part of this effort where you’re designing the solution design mapping your component library either to universal editor document-based authoring or however you are editing your content and making sure that all of that is vetted out and so finally your team will fully onboard into the project methodology and once that is the case and the architecture and strategy is validated the migration and necessary development will begin so all of your code will be reviewed and backed up by best practices and your team will have developers to support you during this time and so it’s important to remember that every single customer’s instance looks a little bit different so this discovery phase is very important to make sure that all of your unique requirements are met all right another question that we get all the time is just concern if the previous application models or delivery services are going away so is on-premise managed service other cdns the answer to this is no and they are still supported this is just a graphic to show how am has evolved over the years and how you can see the newest versions of the product are are still going to be run and then edge delivery is really just that delivery model on top of the previous application models and so as you can see we begin with the on-premise with the lengthy development cycles we started to offer a new application application model which is managed service where adobe can help manage those technical aspects of your cms reducing those development cycles down closer to one year and then the newest application model was rolled out with cloud service in about 2020 but the processes are fully automated and there’s no longer upgrades involved and so we can see development cycles there that take as little as 30 days but all of those are going to be done all of those are still being supported the newest application models that are rolled out the newest delivery model is rolled out for the application model which is cloud service and we rolled out edge as that delivery model and so here you can experiment also with document-based authoring and faster dev experiences in that universal editor but this just gives you a picture of the evolution and direction of the cms space but everything at this time is still supported and finally one of the last frequent questions we want to touch on has to do with the direction of the product and specifically pertaining to ai so at this time am is focused on leveraging ai for three key principles so that’s frictionless authoring tools enterprise governance and control and then business outcomes so these are addressed through being able to swiftly create multiple generations of the effective content that you make dynamically assembling and delivering that content and being able to experiment and optimize the content based off of its performance so for more information on those aspects make sure you’re one of the latest versions of am and you can begin to reach out to your account managers for more details so you can kind of scope out the requirements and what you’d be looking to use this for but with that we can get into the specific q and a’s that you all have been asking yes perfect thank you guys let’s get into some of the questions we’ve gotten today we’ll start off with a question for you rajan does edge delivery services need extra licensing or cost for an am cs customer yeah well so uh all the new customer getting on board with the am at the cloud services will be available with the hdv services however if you are on a magic lord services and you don’t see the edge delivery you can reach out to the account managers and they will help you out to get on board into the adas but just to play around with the document based authoring right so you can just for the demo purpose and all you can just play without having a license so you can just continue with that got it okay thank you and casey question for you how to improve lighthouse score with uh with this tool right so as we mentioned in the presentation lighthouse scores with eds are guaranteed 100 just because of the delivery network features that we discussed but i also wanted to touch on quickly we had a question in the chat about page speed insights as well which i believe it combines the lighthouse scores but also with like web page content because each of those web page contents like design infrastructures etc is usually unique to the customers we can’t guarantee 100 on page speed insights but we can kind of work closely with you and your web developers to identify those aspects of the page speed insights and see if we can improve those scores but lighthouse is guaranteed 100.

awesome and one more question for you how does this product work with other products within the suite yes great question so with eds we have a native integration with adobe commerce and adobe targets and then for other products you’re going to want to work with your implementation team to understand how to best um create those integrations perfect okay rajan i have one for you uh can we use document based offering and am authoring together yeah uh so yeah i think a lot of questions coming from this area like we do have already on a website on the aem traditions we offer can we also use the document based authoring so together yes you can do that so you can have few of the pages right and create all custom blocks component to support document based authorings and choose like a five or ten pages and see the performance of your website how it is optimal or not and then slowly you can just uh move all uh aem traditions component into the block and make a migrate all your website into the document based watching it also varies the same like for the crosswalk like universal editor as well so technically yes it is a feasible solutions you can have a traditional am website along with the document based both in the running the parallel got it okay and on that note i see there’s a question in the chat if there is existing aem how do we migrate to document based authoring and also how to use universal editor yeah right so i just focus in the demo right if you are looking for the uh migrations into the document based or things so uh importer helix importer is the one of the key starting point and then uh there are a lot of things like you have to evaluate your existing component model whether it’s support for the block creations of the block or not so it could be a multiple approach like either lift and lift or you can have a development and all the component compatible with the blocks or then migrate your content or there could be another approach like you still serving out do the authorings into the aem you have a middle layer converter uh so your html page will convert into the uh semantic html which will be understand by the sdl service so but in this approach what you gonna do you have to manage two places one is to the uh developing the component into the traditional aem and then at the same time you have to make sure the converter to convert into the semantic html right so maintenance perspective it like cost more so uh but yeah technically it’s the feasible and the way you want you can just implement perfect thank you um i think we have time for one last question this one’s for you casey uh what performance metrics do we track to measure edge delivery effectiveness yep so it’s going to be those lighthouse scores of course but also just the ease of authoring for your team so how easy is it for you to um get content out as quickly as possible in many different ways and then also i think just a huge one is access to the newest features and so that’s kind of where we’re innovating on top of with our product team so those are three ways you can really find a lot of value and see if you’re getting the most out of your ads perfect thank you both for all of the insight um with that i want to quickly wrap us up for today on this screen we have a bunch of resources for you in the web link section as well as a few survey questions for you you also have one more opportunity to let us know if you’d like more info and edge delivery services if you have a question specific to your account and we weren’t able to address it today please reach out to your solution account manager if you’re not sure who that is you can always reach out to me directly and i’ll put you in touch with the correct person and as a reminder you will receive the recording of today’s event in an email from us in around 24 hours so that’s all for us today thank you all again for attending we really appreciate it have a great day and we look forward to seeing you at one of our upcoming events you
