Add standard creatives to a creative library

Add standard creatives to your creative libraries to use with standard ad experiences.

NOTE
You can include individual creatives directly within ad experiences that don’t have defined user targets. You can also group your creatives in bundles, which you can include in targeted ad experiences.

Add flexible HTML ads to a creative library flexible-creative-add

You can do either of the following:

  • Upload your own flexible creatives in ZIP files.

  • Use any of the predefined flexible creative templates uploaded to your account as a starting point for your own flexible creative.

Upload your own flexible creatives flexible-creative-upload

You can upload multiple flexible creative units. Flexible creatives must be in ZIP format and can be up to 2 MB. For file requirements, see the HTML5 creative specification.

  1. In the main menu, click Creative > Creative Libraries.

  2. Click the library name.

  3. On the Creatives tab, click Create > Creatives > Flexible.

  4. Click Upload New.

  5. Specify ZIP files in either of the following ways:

    • Drag and drop files on your device or network into the box.

    • Click Select a file to locate the files on your device or network.

    See the flexible ad specifications.

  6. Add or remove flexible creative files:

    • To add a file, click Add in the upper left and locate the file on your device or network.

    • To remove a file, deselect the check box next to it.

  7. (Optional) To preview a creative, click Preview above the image.

  8. Specify the flexible HTML5 ad settings.

    By default, all creatives you just uploaded are selected. Any settings with only one value apply to all selected creatives; for some settings, you can specify individual values. To enter settings for specific creatives, deselect the check box next to each inapplicable creative.

  9. Click Create

Add flexible creatives using a template flexible-creative-use-template

  1. In the main menu, click Creative > Creative Libraries.

  2. Click the library name.

  3. On the Creatives tab, click Create > Creatives > Flexible.

  4. Click Browse System Flexible Templates.

  5. (Optional) To preview the template, click … next to the template name, and then click Preview.

    You can optionally download the template: click … next to the template name, and then click Download.

  6. Next to the template name, click … and then Use Selected.

  7. Edit the flexible HTML5 creative settings to specify the language and include your own click tags, images, and other attributes.

    The maximum file size of the creative, once it’s zipped, is 2 MB.

  8. Add or remove your own flexible creative files:

    • To add a file from your device or network, click Add in the upper left and locate the file. Select the check box next to the creative, and deselect the check box next to the other creatives, and edit the flexible HTML5 creative settings to specify the language and include your own click tags, images, and other attributes.

    • To remove a file, deselect the check box next to it.

  9. (Optional) To preview a creative, click Preview above the image.

  10. Click Create.

Add an HTML5 creative to a creative library

You can add multiple HTML5 creatives of a single type (simple or static) at a time.

NOTE
You can also add flexible HTML5 creatives, which are HTML5 creatives with all their attributes as standard HTML tags that you can edit directly within Creative.
  1. In the main menu, click Creative > Creative Libraries.

  2. Click the library name.

  3. On the Creatives tab, click Create > Creatives > HTML5.

  4. Specify the files in either of the following ways:

    • Drag and drop files on your device or network into the box.

    • Click Select a file to locate the file on your device or network.

  5. Specify the HTML5 ad settings.

By default, all creatives you just uploaded are selected. Any settings with only one value apply to all selected creatives; for some settings, you can specify individual values. To enter settings for specific creatives, deselect the check box next to each inapplicable creative.

  1. Click Create

Add an image creative to a creative library

Image creatives can be in GIF, JPEG, JPG, or PNG format. The maximum file size is two (2) MB. See the supported creative sizes.

  1. In the main menu, click Creative > Creative Libraries.

  2. Click the library name.

  3. On the Creatives tab, click Create > Creatives > Image.

  4. Specify the images:

    • For local image assets, do either of the following:

      • Drag and drop files on your device or network into the box.

      • Click Select a file to locate files on your device or network.

    • For approved images in an ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓÆµ Experience Manager library connected to your DSP account, do the following:

      1. Click AEM Asset Library.

      2. Sign in to your Experience Manager account.

      3. Locate and select the files in your Assets or Collections views, and then click Select in the upper right.

  5. Add or remove images:

    • To add an image, click Add in the upper left and locate the file on your device or network.

    • To remove an image, deselect the check box next to it.

  6. Specify the image creative settings.

    By default, all creatives you just uploaded are selected, and any settings you specify apply to all selected creatives. Any settings with only one value apply to all selected creatives. To enter settings for specific creatives, deselect each inapplicable creative.

  7. Click Create

Add a third-party creative to a creative library creative-add-third-party

Creative supports JavaScript tracking tags for creatives hosted on most third-party ad servers.

  1. In the main menu, click Creative > Creative Libraries.

  2. Click the library name.

  3. On the Creatives tab, click Create > Creatives > 3rd Party.

  4. Specify the JavaScript tag and other settings for the creative in the third-party creative settings.

    You can copy and paste any of the available macros into the JavaScript tag.

  5. Click Create

Add a video creative to a creative library

See the video creative specifications and the supported creative sizes.

  1. In the main menu, click Creative > Creative Libraries.

  2. Click the library name.

  3. On the Creatives tab, click Create > Creatives > Video.

  4. Specify the video files in either of the following ways:

    • Drag and drop files on your device or network into the box.

    • Click Select a file to locate files on your device or network.

  5. Specify the video creative settings.

    By default, the creative you just uploaded is selected, and any settings you specify apply to the selected creative.

  6. Click Create
