Live report in the journey canvas report-journey
Once the journey is published, Live Reporting displays metrics from the last 24 hours directly within the journey canvas. This feature helps monitor real-time performance and quickly identify emerging issues or trends.
Displayed events occur within the last 24 hours, with a minimum interval of two minutes between the event and its visualization. Events typically appear within five minutes of occurrence. This delay ensures that data is processed and aggregated before display.
The following metrics are available for live journeys:
-
Entered profiles: Total number of individuals who entered the journey.
For example, if the journey is triggered by a “Sign-up” event, this metric shows how many users initiated the journey after signing up. -
Exited profiles: Total number of individuals who exited the journey, including those who encountered errors.
For example, users may exit the journey after completing intended actions, such as making a purchase, or due to an error. -
Profiles in error: Total number of individuals who encountered an error during the journey.
For example, an error might occur if a required data point, such as a user’s email address, is missing during an email action. -
Discarded profiles: Total number of individuals who were discarded from the journey for specific reasons. Understanding why profiles are discarded helps optimize journey configuration.
-
For Audience Qualification activities, profiles may be discarded if the expected verb for audience qualification mismatches the one received by the journey.
For example, a user is “exited” from the audience, but the journey only accepts users marked as “realized”.
-
For event-triggered journeys, profiles may be discarded if individuals attempt to reenter the journey too soon or reentry is not allowed.
For example, a customer triggers a “Welcome Journey” twice in quick succession, but the journey blocks reentry for 24 hours.
-
On recurring journeys, profiles can be discarded during each recurrence if the individual is already in the journey and the reentry policy does not allow “force reentrance”.
For example, users participating in a weekly promotional email campaign are discarded unless reentry is explicitly permitted.
-
On Read Audience activities, profiles are discarded if no identity is set for the exported individual or if the received identity namespace does not match the expected one for the journey.
For example, a profile with missing or mismatched identity data, such as an invalid customer ID, is discarded during audience processing.

The following metrics are available for each activity within live journeys:
-
Entered: Total number of individuals who entered the activity.
For example, if an activity sends a promotional email, this metric shows how many users reached that step. -
Exited (met exit criteria): Total number of individuals who exited the journey from the activity after meeting exit criteria.
For example, users who meet the condition “purchased an item” in an e-commerce journey exit the activity after achieving the journey’s goal. -
Error: Total number of individuals who encountered an error within the activity.
For example, an error may occur in an email activity if the email address format is invalid or if the email fails to send.
